Hawk Kason Lauchland shuts down the Buffalo runner.

GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch junior varsity Hawks kept their perfect season rolling Friday night, turning back the visiting Amador Buffaloes 34-14, Oct. 9 to improve to 3-0 on the year and claim sole possession of first place in the Sierra Valley Conference.

Playing the early game in front of the home crowd, the JV Hawks set the tone for the evening before the varsity took the field, controlling the game on both sides of the ball and never letting Amador mount a serious threat. The win keeps Liberty Ranch unbeaten through the first three weeks of the season.

It was a complete team effort from a young squad that has answered every challenge so far, and the 34-14 margin was the latest sign that the Liberty Ranch program is building momentum from the ground up. With the win, the JV Hawks remain the team to beat in conference play.

The JV Hawks will look to stay perfect when they hit the road to face the Argonaut Mustangs on Friday, Oct. 16, playing the early game before the varsity takes on the Mustangs in Jackson.
