GALT, CA (MPG) - On a night reserved for celebration, the Galt High School flag football team paused to honor the eight seniors who have anchored the Warriors' program, saluting their leadership, grit, and dedication before taking the field against Amador for the team's Senior Night matchup.
The Warriors fell to the visiting Buffaloes, 39-0, in a contest that slipped away early. But the evening's spotlight belonged to the players who have given so much to Galt flag football. Amador struck for seven points in the opening quarter and erupted for 25 more in the second to build a commanding halftime cushion. Then they added a final touchdown in the fourth. Galt's defense battled from the first snap to the last, but the offense could not find the end zone against a stout Buffaloes unit.
Even in defeat, the Warriors had plenty to cheer. The Senior Night ceremony drew families, friends, and underclassmen to the sideline to recognize a class that has helped shape the young program, and the seniors responded with the kind of effort that has come to define their time in a Galt uniform.

Madison Chapin hauls in one of her three receptions on the night.
The eight seniors recognized before kickoff represent the heart of the Warriors' roster, contributing on both sides of the ball and setting the standard for the underclassmen who will carry the program forward.
Jannet Jimenez (No. 2, defensive back) patrolled the secondary and finished the night with five flag pulls, all of them solo, providing steady, physical coverage on the back end.
Brittany Jaramillo (No. 3, wide receiver/running back) suited up for the Warriors on Senior Night, bringing versatility and leadership to a young offense.
Trinity Clark (No. 6, center) was a force in the trenches, racking up seven flag pulls to go with a sack for a loss of five yards and a flag-pull loss. Her presence up front anchored the Galt defense all evening.
Chloe Goehring-Tassell (No. 8, quarterback/running back/wide receiver) did it all for the Warriors. The senior completed 8 of 25 passes for 65 yards and carried 14 times for a team-high 83 rushing yards, adding a flag pull and a hurry on defense. Her dual-threat performance kept Galt moving against a relentless Amador defense.

Kristine Meixner puts a stop to the runner’s progress.
Kristine Meixner (No. 9, athlete) contributed four flag pulls, all solo, using her athleticism to disrupt the Buffaloes' attack.
Danah Godinez (No. 11, linebacker) led the Warriors' defensive effort with a team-high nine flag pulls, all solo, flying to the ball on nearly every play.
Maggie Thomlinson (No. 18, linebacker) suited up for the Warriors on Senior Night, bringing toughness and leadership to the Galt defense.
Harper Suttenfield (No. 19, athlete/wide receiver/defensive back) brought her signature versatility to the field one final time, contributing on offense, defense, and special teams.
Galt finished the night with 164 rushing yards on 26 carries — an average of 6.3 yards per attempt — and 65 passing yards on eight completions. The Warriors' defense combined for 34 flag pulls, including three tackles for loss, one sack, and a pass defensed.
Chloe Goehring-Tassell paced the ground game with 83 yards on 14 carries, while Berkley Ward added 64 yards on seven attempts, including a 35-yard burst. Through the air, Madison Chapin hauled in three receptions for 28 yards, Ava Reeve added two catches for 21 yards, and Abigail Chapin chipped in with a 17-yard punt return. On special teams, Abigail Pantajo punted five times for 131 yards, pinning Amador inside the 20 once.
